opera wearables

why: opera wearables explores how opera can be worn, transforming iconic heroines and dramatic narratives into graphic characters, wearable pieces and collectible objects. challenge: to make opera's emotional intensity feel immediate, playful and relevant to contemporary audiences. concept: inspired by the opera heroine archetype, the collection reimagines love, obsession, sacrifice and transformation as contemporary graphic symbols. visual language: bold colour contrasts, simplified forms and expressive silhouettes create a family of memorable characters across formats. from poster to object: originally developed as a series of opera posters, the visual language evolved into a collection of wearable and collectible objects. outcome: a contemporary interpretation of opera that extends its stories beyond the stage and into everyday life.
